Purpose

The purpose of this program is to support existing educational programs offered by One Call centers. Materials containing pipeline safety information will be sent to each One Call center. These materials can be used in meetings with excavators, as handouts to members, or for any purpose the One Call center deems appropriate.

Scope

The program is directed toward all One Call centers in the United States.

Program Elements

The initial element in the program will be the Pipeline Edition of the Excavation Safety Guide. Quantities of this publication will be sent to each One Call center in April. The initial distribution will be over 20,000 copies or approximately 2% of the total number of excavators in each state. Extra quantities will be available to excavators, One Call Centers, and pipeline members upon request (while supplies last).

Documentation

All program documentation will be available from the website, including identity of participating members, a list of the One Call centers, and any feedback received.

Fees

The fee for participation in the program is $30 per member/county.

Sign up

Companies may sign up by sending an email to info@pipelineawareness.org indicating their desire to participate in the program. Members are requested to do so by February 1 to allow ample time to include company names on the material and determine final print quantities.
